2020-2021 Gilmer FFA Chapter Officer Process

 

Hello.  

 

You are receiving this email because you or your child is a Gilmer FFA chapter member and is potentially eligible to be a candidate for the 2020-2021 Gilmer FFA chapter officer team.  If you or your child is interested in becoming a Gilmer FFA chapter officer, they should refer to their school email, download the attached PDF file and follow the directions below.

 

Read carefully the guidelines for the chapter officer election in the attached PDF file. Print the Officer Requirements, Officer Commitment Pledge and Social Media Contract and complete the  documents with all required signatures.  You may return your signed documents by email with the file name in the format, "Firstname_Lastname_Gilmer Officer Commitment" no later than 4:00pm on Friday, May 15.  Early submissions will be accepted.  Officer Requirements, Officer Commitment Pledges and Social Media Contracts may also be turned in in hard-copy form by appointment at the Gilmer High School Ag. Building.  Appointments may be made by emailing keaheyk@gilmerisd.org

 

Students must also turn in a resume following the requirements outlined in the election guidelines.  The resume must be turned in no later than 4:00pm on May 15.  Early submissions will be accepted.  Hard-copy resumes may be turned in by appointment to the Gilmer High School Ag. Building.  Appointments may be made by emailing keaheyk@gilmerisd.org.  

 

Essay writing prompts will be administered as outlined in the election guidelines on May 19, 2020, at 6:00pm. 

 

Interviews will be held via Zoom beginning at 5:00pm on May 21, 2020, as outlined in the election guidelines.

****Covid – 19 Update****

Mr. Jones Welding Classes will be web based until our school reopens. The first thing you will need is to make sure that you can log in to Google with your school provided email. All content and assignments will be on Google classroom.

1st, 8th, and Mr. Keahey’s 6th period: You will need to log into Google and access the Google Classroom app. In the top right of the page you should see a plus sign (+), clicking this will allow you to join this class by entering the invite code (xehsfao).

2nd – 3rd  & 4th - 5th  period: You will need to log into Google and access the Google Classroom app. In the top right of the page you should see a plus sign (+), clicking this will allow you to join this class by entering the invite code (anc3h26).
