English I & III Teacher, Debate Coach
Mrs. Riley graduated with honors from University of Texas at Tyler with a BA in English. She minored in speech communication and competed nationally on the school’s debate team.
My husband is a retired Army combat veteran who is graduating this Spring with a BS in Construction Management. I couldn’t be more excited for him. My three daughters are as different from each other as their ages, with one exception – they are all three feisty and they make me proud of them.
When Mrs. Riley isn’t teaching….
I love to read good books. Dystopian novels, poetry books, biographies, neuroscience, history – I read almost everything.
I try to learn something new every summer. One summer it was embroidery. Another, it was kniting. Sometimes, it’s something other than crafting.
Coffee is a joy to me and so is good chocolate. But not as much of a joy as my children and my family. Spending time with them is what’s truly most precious to me. We like to play board games together, or sit on the porch talking in the evenings, or go somewhere together on vacation We work together on my brother’s vineyard or enjoy talking about what we’ve read or watched lately.
